  • This is the VMC Dashboard where we can quickly access the desired Software Define Data Centers (SDDC). Let us click on the Sales SDDC. Note: A VMware Cloud on AWS Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) includes compute, storage, and networking resources.
  • Click on Integrated Services
  • These are the cards for available VMware Integrated Services. You can Activate or subscribe to services to make them available in your SDDC as required.Let us click on the NSX Advanced Load Balancer  Cloud Controller activate it.
  • Click on Activate
  • It may take up to 90 minutes for the NSX ALB to be activated. Once activated, we can click to access the NSX ALB Cloud Controller in the next step.
  • The Cloud Controller is now deployed. Click on Open.
  • We are now in the NSX ALB dashboard. We saw how easy it was to deploy the NSX ALB controller. This newly launched capability provides a much simpler and hassle free Day 0 experience. Click on Infrastructure.
  • Click on Clouds
  • One final step is to add the Data Network segment. Click on the edit icon to add that information in the next step.
  • Click on Add
  • You can choose from the existing network or add a new one. In this example, let us choose the logical router "Select Tier1 Logical Router".
  • Click to choose a Tier 1 from the drop down menu. In this specific example, we will click on Compute Gateway.
  • Click to choose from the Overlay Segment.
  • Choose the segment per your requirement. In this example we will "choose client-segment".
  • Click on Save
  • As next steps, we can create virtual services as. To do so, let us click on Applications. This is the same NSX Advanced Load Balancer that customers love. You may have seen a demo of this capability earlier.
  • Click on Virtual Services
  • Click on Create Virtual Service
  • The Virtual Service is being deployed and will be available shortly.
  • Click on Virtual Services
  • Click on Demo-VS that we recently created.
  • This is the NSX ALB Dashboard. This view provides a detailed information on the application including it's health, end-to-end timings and so much more. We can also obtain granular information on every single transaction. To view that information. click on Logs.
  • Click on a transaction that you wish to obtain more information. This is a great way to get to the bottom on any application issues and resolve them way faster than any other traditional load balancing services.
  • Notice the detailed information that provides a complete picture of the chosen transaction.
